Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and document vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility issues, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care plans as required by state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status.
- Ensure the patient environment is clean, safe, and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and active State of Wisconsin CNA License.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
