Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking as needed.
- Document patient care plans and updates in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and physicians regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Support patients with emotional needs and provide companionship.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not always required for entry-level.
- Valid State CNA Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
- Physical stamina to lift patients and stand for long periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
