Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and residents.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff regarding patient needs and changes in condition.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- CPR certification is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Must possess a strong desire to help others and demonstrate empathy and compassion.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and medical personnel.
- Must be physically able to lift, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
