Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist licensed nurses with medical procedures and administer medication as directed.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas or medical procedures.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Active state license or certification to practice nursing assistance.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
