Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring them to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient conditions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality care.
- Follow strict infection control and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required for immediate hires.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly desirable.
