Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers to and from beds or wheelchairs, and positioning to prevent pressure ulcers and falls.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and patients' families regarding patient status and care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment to prevent infection and ensure patient comfort.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of California (required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Physical stamina to lift, move, and assist patients as needed.
