Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Mobility Assistance: Safely assist patients with ambulation, transfers between bed and chair, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and care logs in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure the patient's environment is clean, safe, and free from hazards at all times.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a clinical, home health, or long-term care setting preferred.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and patient advocacy.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Availability: Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
