Responsibilities
- Patient Monitoring: Observe and report changes in patient health status, symptoms, or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Personal Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Support: Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure informed consent and comfort.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Qualifications
- License: Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients, stand for extended periods, and perform physical assistance tasks.
