Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition, pain levels, or mood to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current and active Colorado CNA License required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on an on-call basis as needed.
