Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) and mobility as needed.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) accurately and timely.
- Clinical Support: Support the nursing staff with procedures, wound care, and specimen collection.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care plans in the electronic health record system.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- License: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Florida.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods; good manual dexterity.
