Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and empathetic CNA to provide high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and assisted living centers.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and walking with walkers or canes.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient care activities and any changes in condition accurately in medical records.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the District of Columbia or Virginia.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required for top candidates.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting patients.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented attitude.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
