Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure patient hygiene and dignity.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) and report any significant changes to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the strict supervision and direction of licensed nursing staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in the state of Kansas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility or hospital setting is preferred, but we are willing to train dedicated candidates for immediate hires.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods as required by the role.
