Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients.
- Document patient care services, including changes in patient condition, medications administered, and daily observations.
- Communicate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to report patient status and changes.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent falls and injuries.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring special dietary requirements are met.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 200 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
