Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately.
- Assist with mobility and safely transfer patients using proper lifting techniques.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA license in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for highly motivated candidates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
