Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues using walkers, wheelchairs, or transfer techniques.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by nurses or physicians.
- Provide emotional support and maintain a clean, safe patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and update medical records accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient well-being.
- High school diploma or GED required.
