Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and telemedicine triage using standardized protocols
- Prioritize emergency cases and coordinate with ER teams for critical patient transfers
- Document patient interactions accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers
- Participate in continuous training modules covering emergency protocols and cultural competency
- Maintain quality metrics for patient wait times and resolution rates
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania RN license (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- BSN degree or equivalent nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated patient empathy
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
- Commitment to completing our 8-week paid triage certification program
- 1+ years of clinical experience preferred (new graduates welcome)
