Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and arranging all surgical equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Ensure all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and maintained
- Monitor equipment functionality and report maintenance needs
- Count and account for all surgical items before and after procedures
- Transport patients to operating rooms and prepare them for surgery
- Maintain sterile environments throughout surgical procedures
- Document equipment usage and inventory in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate or equivalent experience
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
- Proficiency with advanced surgical equipment (robotics, endoscopes)
- Knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure surgical environments
