Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, according to protocol.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring from bed to wheelchair or walking.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are met.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient needs and concerns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Kansas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or hospital settings is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Reliable transportation to client locations.
