Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and response to treatments in electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a high-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a commitment to patient safety and privacy (HIPAA compliance).
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as necessary throughout the shift.
