Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during the night hours.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the charge nurse or on-call physician immediately.
Qualifications
- Current and active California CNA certification (CNA 1).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a night shift team.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and transfer patients as required.
