Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients during the night shift.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients, following infection control protocols.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA Certification in the state of Indiana.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during the night shift.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
