Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, during the night shift.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent falls and ensure comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or physician, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in the electronic medical record (EMR) promptly.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team to ensure continuity of care during the night.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the state of Colorado.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
- Strong compassion for patients and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently throughout the shift.
