Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and patient-focused CNA to assist our residents with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. This role is perfect for CNAs looking to specialize in weekend shifts without sacrificing career growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance to residents.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Administer medications and document all treatments and observations in the electronic health record.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the nursing team regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in implementing emergency care plans.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed for residents with dietary restrictions.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the state of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting residents.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
