Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate changes in patient condition and report urgent needs to the nursing staff immediately.
- Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN, following strict safety protocols.
- Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families to ensure a holistic care experience.
Qualifications
- Current and active Indiana CNA certification (CNA-1) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as part of the regular schedule.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
