Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and ambulating using proper techniques and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (valid Texas license).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented attitude.
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients as needed.
