Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety and comfort at all times.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and medical records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to implement patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and ensure a safe and clean environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Illinois CNA (CNA-I) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients as required.
- Commitment to professional development and patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
