Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure their comfort and hygiene.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates at scheduled intervals.
- Medication Assistance: Support patients with medication reminders and document administration in compliance with facility protocols.
- Mobility Support: Safely assist patients with transferring, walking, and using mobility aids to prevent falls and injuries.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status changes to the nursing staff and physicians to ensure continuity of care.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment, including linens and equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and shift logs.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active, and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Minnesota.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
