Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities to the RN or charge nurse.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure patient safety and prevent falls.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Oregon State CNA license (CNA-1) required.
- CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the healthcare field.
