Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments while strictly adhering to safety protocols and medication administration policies.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously, reporting any significant changes to the medical team immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Provide compassionate patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Uphold infection control standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting is preferred.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
