Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding to ensure their comfort and hygiene.
- Provide basic bedside care and support to patients in accordance with established nursing protocols and care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including changes in patient condition, medications administered, and daily progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and family members to ensure holistic patient care.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations, following safety and emergency protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California State CNA License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
