Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting abnormalities immediately.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families during night hours.
- Assist with patient transfers, walking, and mobility exercises using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring all dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements are met.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe patient environment, adhering to all infection control protocols.
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and communication with the nursing staff accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow medical protocols and safety guidelines strictly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care.
