Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics to ensure safety.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and fellow staff members.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations during the night shift.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team regarding patient needs and changes in status.
Qualifications
- Active and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Nevada.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not required for night shift roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a night shift team.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a commitment to quality care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
