Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and response to treatment in the electronic health record.
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Illinois.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for Healthcare Providers, issued by the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others and improve patient outcomes.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as required.
