Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor Vitals: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist with Mobility: Safely transfer patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers using proper body mechanics.
- Administer Medications: Support the nursing team by administering medications as prescribed and documenting administration.
- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families during the night shift.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and shift reports.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (3rd shift) including weekends and holidays.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
