Your Role
As a Night Shift CNA, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, ensuring patient safety, and assisting with daily living activities during the evening and night hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and mobility transfers as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for residents.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Administer medication and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during the night shift.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as required by the job description.
