Responsibilities
- Provide direct, hands-on patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration rate) accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and mobility aids safely.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff regarding patient conditions, complaints, and changes in status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Administer medications as directed by the Charge Nurse and document all interventions in the electronic health record.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote mental well-being.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Georgia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during the night shift.
