Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming) to patients in home settings
- Assist with mobility transfers and ambulation using proper techniques
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Administer medications under supervision per care plan protocols
- Communicate effectively with families, nurses, and care coordinators
- Maintain clean, safe environments following infection control standards
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and professionally
Qualifications
- Active California CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year experience in home health or long-term care
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work 10-12 hour night shifts (7pm-7am)
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
