Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the RN.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition and hydration.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans and safety protocols to ensure resident well-being.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents and staff.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team regarding resident status and needs.
- Respond promptly to call lights and emergencies during the night shift.
Qualifications
- Current State CNA Certification (FL) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living settings is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and transfers.
