Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities immediately to the Charge Nurse.
- Safety & Security: Maintain a safe and secure environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines throughout the night shift.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with the nursing staff, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns promptly.
- Mobility Support: Assist residents with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics to prevent injury to both the resident and the caregiver.
- Meal Assistance: Assist residents with eating and drinking, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, valid State of Colorado CNA Certification.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or a hospital setting preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM or 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull residents weighing up to 250 lbs; ability to stand for extended periods.
