Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility, transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers using proper body mechanics.
- Document patient care activities, intake, and output accurately in electronic medical records.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred (or equivalent life experience).
- Willingness to obtain CNA certification or certification training.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients as required by the role.
