Responsibilities
- Provide direct assistance to patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately.
- Assist licensed nurses with medical procedures, wound care, and patient mobility (transfer and ambulation).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Document patient care activities and medical information in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Active and valid CNA License in the State of California.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting (preferred).
- Strong understanding of patient safety protocols and infection control practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
