Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfer using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Nevada State CNA Certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs as required.
