Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent bedsores.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary plans and patient preferences.
- Communicate any changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of New York.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting under pressure.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to high-quality patient care standards.
