Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, operating wheelchairs and stretchers safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care services accurately and timely in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Valid and current California CNA License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or ACLS certification (as required by facility).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Reliable transportation to and from work locations.
- Experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
