Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with range-of-motion exercises and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Document patient care activities and changes in medical condition accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
