Responsibilities
- Provide direct and compassionate care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual patient needs.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and responses to treatment in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and families to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Oregon CNA license (or eligible to obtain one).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred but not required).
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility, hospital, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents and families.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, and transfer patients for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for helping others.
