Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, escalating concerns immediately to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document patient care services in medical records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Respond to medical emergencies and code blue situations with speed and precision.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to the highest standards of patient safety and privacy (HIPAA compliance).
