Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by conducting thorough physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, making immediate clinical decisions when necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, post-discharge care, and health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital standards.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care support during high-stress situations.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or MSN).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
