Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, according to established protocols.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to ensure dignity and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and physicians regarding patient status and changes in condition.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Support patient education and emotional well-being during their hospital stay.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required, current and in good standing in the state of Oregon.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
