Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, medical histories, and physical examinations accurately.
- Assist providers during patient exams and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean clinic environment.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Manage patient records and ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate anxiety.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required (Associate degree in Medical Assisting preferred).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient empathy and care.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
